Synergy was created in 1983 when 13-year old Stefan Laursen discovered the need for a wetsuit to compete in his second triathlon. Therein began his love for the sport as he spent the next decade innovating wetsuit designs. At 16, he turned professional and a few years later placed 2nd in the USA Professional USAT Championship. As other swimmers and professional athletes sought his wetsuits, Synergy became an established brand whose primary vision is about inventing new technologies and designs that would truly benefit athletes and elevate performance. As the brand grew into one of the largest sellers of triathlon wetsuits, creating a culture where innovation and teamwork are valued above all else has become its core guiding principle.
