I am the founder and owner of Metcon Media, and Creative Director of Metcon Magazine. I am an electronic engineer by trade, but have a passion for fitness. I am a CrossFit certified trainer, but my main passion is long distance endurance events. I have been competing for over 20 years as a swimmer, runner and triathlete. I have competed in endurance events of all distances, including Ironman Coeur D’Alene, Ironman Lake Placid, Ironman Arizona, Transrockies 6 Day/120 Mile run, and the 24 hour World’s Toughest Mudder.
I began including functional fitness in my training in 2008, when I realized that the years of long slow distance (LSD) training commonly practiced by most endurance athletes had significantly decreased my muscle mass, strength and power. I created the first functional fitness focused magazine, WODTALK, in 2012 which was rebranded in 2016 to Metcon Magazine.
I have created Cjaye Media as an place for the videos I create of my adventures in training, racing and life.
